FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How big and heavy is the product?
The diameter of this charger is under 10 inches (from one end of the circle to the other). It is roughly 0.6 inches thick. The final product weighs roughly 1 pound.
Will it work on my phone?
Wireless charging works only on devices which supports wireless Qi charging (most new phones support this feature). Below is a list of common phones which support this feature.
Supported Phones: iPhone 8, iPhone 8+, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, S8, S8+, Galaxy Note 7, S7, S7 Edge, S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, LG Lucid 1, Lucid 2, LG G2, LG G3, LG G6, LG G6+, Motorola Droid Maxx, Droid Mini, Droid Turbo, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, Lumia 950, Lumia 1520, Lumia Icon, Lumia 930, Lumia 928, Lumia 920, Blackberry Priv, Blackberry Z30
NOTE: If your device is not listed here, don't worry! All you need to do is simply buy a universal adapter to plug into your phone so that it can support wireless charging - available online and at most places that sell electronics goods (just search for wireless charging adapter). They are very inexpensive, thin, and accessible to everyone.
Does my phone instantly charge right away? Or do I need to press some button?
When you place your phone on the charger, the seal / array / pattern forms and lights up first. Once that is complete, your device will begin to charge.
How fast does it charge my device, and what's the difference between the 5 watt and 10 watt charger?
It depends on the phone type, usage, and how much battery is leftover - we couldn't give you a specific answer because there are too many variables. It's similar to most wireless chargers - a 5 watt charger can only charge at half the speed of a 10 watt charger.
For your perspective, according to the Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory, the average cellphone uses 3.68 watts when plugged into the wall outlet.
Does it need to be plugged in?
Unfortunately, because it contains the lighting array and a wireless charger, it must be plugged in to be operational. There is no version that exists which does not require it to be plugged in.
We are working on a version with a long lasting portable battery inside, although it will not be available in the near future. This is because there needs to be both a charger and a battery and the lights - so if one were to be made today, it would be too bulky. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
How many colors does it come in?
It currently only comes in 1 color, which is the color shown. Any differences in color is due to lighting and how dim the room is at time of recording. There is only 1 color variation that exists - and although there are other color variations planned by us, unfortunately they are not available in the near future.
How long does it take to ship?
This product ships in 2-7 days and is made to order. Your order is fulfilled in the order it was received, no exceptions.
